5.5 Example: Classic vs. Named EIGRP Configuration

Note the following –

  • The only configuration difference between left and right is that the named instance on right did not enable EIGRP on the Loopback1 interface. If it did, it would have a separate af-interface Loopback1 command under the ipv4 address-family.
  • ipv6 unicast-routing is a global command required for the operation of ipv6, and as such, is required to be configured in both classic and named EIGRP; it does not fall under the named EIGRP configuration.
