Some brief comments:
- When redistributing into EIGRP (for IPv4), connected interfaces participating in the EIGRP process are automatically redistributed. In EIGRP for IPv6, this does not happen by default. You must append the redistribution command with the include-connected keyword:
- By default redistribution into OSPF uses E2 (external type 2) route, which fixes a cost for the route that does not change as it is propagated. You should only use this default behavior if one ASBR is distributing the route. If more than one ASBR is advertising the external route, use an E1, which adds the link cost as it is propagated throughout the network.
